Build & ship

Rewards

Everything you ship pays out in pixels, which buy real physical and digital rewards.

How you earn

Every approved hour pays at your current rate, which starts at 40 px/hr and rises to 60 px/hr as your Restoration Energy builds up.

Finish a trial and you choose between its prize (plus pixels for hours past the minimum) or the whole thing as raw pixels. Either way an approved trial ship adds 100 bonus RE to your profile, which pushes your level along faster.

Why the totals don't always divide out evenly

Pixels only come in whole numbers, nobody gets paid 57.14 of one. So every payout is rounded to the nearest whole pixel from the exact dollar amount you earned.

At the very start ($4.00/hr) and at the $6.00/hr cap, that division comes out exact: one hour is worth 40.00 px and 60.00 px respectively, with nothing to round. In between, while your rate is still climbing with Restoration Energy, the exact rate for a given hour usually isn't a whole number of pixels, so it rounds to the nearest one - at most half a pixel either way.

That's also why dividing a rounded total back into "pixels per dollar" can show a slightly different number if you check it mid-ramp: the underlying rate is always $0.10 per pixel (10.00 px per dollar), it never moves. What changes is only the rounded whole number you actually see for that particular project, never the rate itself. Once you're at the floor or the cap - where most players spend most of their time - there's no rounding drift left at all.

Rounding this way means you can lose or gain at most a fraction of a pixel on any single mid-ramp project, never more than a cent or two, and it goes both ways. It is not a hidden cut and it does not favor higher rates over lower ones.
