Building with other people
You can build and ship with other people. The rule that matters most: collaborating never splits or reduces anyone's payout.
Inviting people
The project creator invites people from the project dashboard, or shares an invite code. They have to accept before they're on it. Once they're in, everyone can see the build and add their own journal entries.
Everyone tracks their own time
Each person links their own Hackatime project. You're credited for the hours you personally logged. There's no shared pool that gets divided up.
Payouts are worked out per person
When a team project is approved, each collaborator is processed on their own:
- The hours they personally logged.
- Their own rate, from their own lifetime RE. A beginner and a max-level builder on the same team each get their own rate.
- Their own RE bump.
A three-person project doesn't pay a third each. It pays every maker in full for their own tracked hours.
Adding friends who wrote no code so they can pick up free pixels is fraud, and it rejects the whole submission, not just theirs. Everyone listed needs commits, Hackatime logs and journal entries.
